Food Pairings & Gin – You can now lunch at the LGC

Things have been moving pretty quickly at The Gin Club this year. With the opportunity to open earlier in the day we’ve been working hard in our kitchen to come up with a new food menu, and two delicious Flavour Pairing menu’s to accompany your cheeky lunchtime or late afternoon G & T.

Flavour Pairing Menus – an ideal soho afternoon treat

We have selected two very different gins to work with which we’ve paired with 3 little food flavour explosions. These delicious flavour pairing menus are designed to show off each gin and open up the complex botanicals with the little bite size flavour explosions complimenting each other and the flavours of the gin.

Our Flavour Pairing menus are £10 each (£12.50 with coffee) and include a 25 ml G&T, served in our signature style with garnish, hand cracked ice and Fever tree tonic, alongside three carefully chosen food flavour bombs. Our coffee aficionado Dan has been working with Volcano who have paired two of their wonderful coffees should you want a caffeine hit to finish everything off. An ideal afternoon treat to enjoy with friends or colleagues.

We are using Gin Mare for the savoury Flavour Pairing menu and  Bathtub for the sweet menu.

new savoury1 Savoury Pairing Menu – For Gin Mare we have a delicious parcel of soft cheese, fig, rocket and pesto wrapped in Serrano ham. A little bite size pie of slow cooked, shredded ham in cyder and a mini bun of a slow braised meatball slider with a rich tomato, basil and garlic sauce.

These little bundles of joy really bring out the delicious savoury botanicals in Gin Mare and if you like savoury this is going to be your thing.

Sweet Pairing Menu – For Bathtub we have created a sumptuous cardamom and orange marshmallow, a juniper and lime shortbread and a rich sticky ginger cake with a cinnamon glaze. These flavours balance amazingly well with the gin and bring out the different botanicals as you try each piece.

sweet food pairing

Whilst this is the sweet menu,  it’s not overwhelmingly sweet and balances very nicely with all that Bathtub is about.

And by the way, if you feel like treating your friend / partner/ person who deserves spoiling a little you can buy a voucher for them!  HERE

If all this has tantalized your taste buds  we are also launching our new food menu including our delicious pies (yes they’re back ) and our new hot dishes of meaty goodness. Our  wonderfully rich chorizo braised in gin and red wine is making its comeback along with slow roasted brisket, shredded pork and slow roasted ham with juniper and onions and for the healthy vegetarians amongst us a french onion pie with a Gruyère bread lid,  cheese and shallot pie and an assortment of other classic dishes subtly influenced by Madam Genever herself (Ginfluenced you might say) all served with a soft, home-made bun or in a pie.

What better way to compliment a gin or two!
